Can you buy one of your children a home with a BTL mortgage?

For standard BTL mortgages the answer is no.  Buying a property with a BTL mortage so a family member can live in it is often a breach of the mortgage terms.

Driven by the rising numbers of  first-time buyers being priced out of the market,  the mortgage market has seen the emergence of “Parent-Assisted” mortgages, where parents can leverage the value of their home to help their children get on the property ladder.
