Leamington landlord put lives at risk

A landlord in Leamington has been fined £50,000 for potentially putting tenants’ lives at risk.

Warwick District Council prosecuted Harmesh Bagga for failure to licence and properly manage three houses in the town.

Bagga, who let the properties to students through Ignite Properties, was fined £50,000 plus costs after a trawl of letting agents websites by council housing officers found the properties for rent with no “house in multiple occupation” licences.
